One by One for Piano

A cool fall morning. The leaves begin to drop, one by one, until the entire forest is gold and red.

I wrote this piece on a contemplative morning, playing around with the idea of each voice coming in one by one. I wanted to focus on simple harmonies, that have a clear direction and focus.

It's not a technically difficult piece to play, but it does require finesse to make it sound it's best.
